The Recycling by Design Research Project is undertaken
by the Designing for Sustainability Research Group
in the Faculty of Art, Design & Music, Kingston
University.
Since 2001 the Project has received over £300,000
in grant funding and in-kind support.
The Project's objectives are to:

Investigate the UK design and business contexts
for |

specifying UK recycled materials and products;
and |

developing durable products manufactured
in the UK from UK post-consumer waste. |

Assist the development and promotion of
new UK markets for recycled materials, working
in partnership with the business sector, design
and brand consultancies, waste management
companies and organisations, and the not-for-profit
sector. |
